Cambodia has much to offer the international film maker. There are few governmental restrictions, stunning scenery, culture and archaeology, and plentiful resources ... providing you know how to access them. Film|Cambodia was established to provide specialist local assistance to the international film community.

 

Film|Cambodia is a free resource to promote film and film production within Cambodia. Film|Cambodia exists to help both local and international filmmakers. We offer prospective filmmakers assistance in all production aspects, from pre-production location scouting and the permit application process through principal shooting to production wind-down.

 

We do not recommended unauthorized "underground" film-making: One mid-budget filmmaker refused to get the necessary permits from the Cinema and Cultural Diffusion Department. Their (undeveloped) film cans were held in customs until the required fees were paid. This type of situation can be easily avoided. Whilst the film permit system is complex, local knowledge and contacts greatly ease the application process.

 

NOTE: Film|Cambodia is an independent organisation: We can not recommend any specific film production facility. However, we compile and publish a public database of facilities, services and crew.
